Case Study
M-C is an HR manager with a European company that was recently taken over by a major US corporate. She speaks some English but needs to improve quickly to meet the challenge of working in English and to stimulate her career.
She meets her trainer a twice week. They plan the session times week by week; sometimes there are changes at short notice. The sessions involve a 30-40 minute face-to-face meeting in the virtual meeting room, talking about everyday events and challenges – telephone conferences, reports and emails or presentations.
A session will identify a lot of language issues, which form the long- term learning. In between meetings, M-C and her trainer are in contact by email to agree the preparation for the sessions and deal with any emergencies.
